We bid farewell to Doris G. Winn (Watkinsville, Georgia), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 8, 2025 at the age of 90. Doris touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though Doris may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Doris touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Jane Smith and W. S. Gunter; her husband Emmett R. Winn; and her son Greg Winn. She is survived by: her children, Melanie Savage (Rusty) of Watkinsville, Roxanne Myers (Malcolm) of Ila and Steve Winn (Brenda) of Arnoldsville; her daughter-in-law Vicki Winn of Jefferson; and her sister Carolyn McIntosh of Elberton. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lord & Stephens West (1211 Jimmy Daniel Rd, Watkinsville, GA 30677). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Lord and Stephens (1211 Jimmy Daniel Rd, Watkinsville, GA 30677).
