He was predeceased by: his parents, James Carl and Annie Hammond Maxey; his siblings, James Stinson "Stinnie" Maxey and Gloria Maxey Carson; and his former wife Patsy Marshall Maxey.
He is survived by: his daughter Kathy Maxey Hall of Dacula; his grandchildren, Breanna Hall of Dacula, Brandon Hall of Braselton, Blake Hall and Jessica Hall of Jefferson; his great grandchild Liam Hall of Jefferson; and his siblings, Shirley Maxey Seagraves and Cecil Maxey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Carl Maxey to Bethabara Baptist Church.
