She was predeceased by: her parents, Annis Moore Johnson and James Murray Johnson; her husband James Jere Prothro (Jerry); and her brothers, Steven Murray Johnson (Steve), Walter Jackson Johnson (Jackie) and James Randall Johnson (Jimbo).
She is survived by: her daughter Lisa Allison Walters (Prothro); her son-in-law Mark Jordan Walters; her grandson Cade Jordan Walters; and her sisters, Valerie Lynn Johnson Roman, Adrienne Shawn Johnson of Douglasville and Georgia.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Brenda's honor.
