He was predeceased by: his wife Sonya Ann Huff Lavender; his parents, Clifford B. Lavender and Ruby Neal Hardigree Lavender; and his daughter Anna Marie Lavender. He is survived by: his sons, Richard B. Lavender (Laura A.) and Jeffery A. Lavender (Linda); and his brothers, Jim Lavender, Bob Lavender and Billy Lavender. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
