He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter C. Herring, Sr. and Janette Brown Herring. He is survived by: his wife Vicky Lane Herring of Crawfordville; his children, Michele H. Paschal (Greg) of Aiken, S. C., Zachary Herring (Amber) of Athens, Matthew Herring of Athens and Jacob Herring of Atlanta; his sisters, Dianne Miller (Mike) of Bonaire and Cathy York (Randy) of Bonaire; his stepmother Gerry Herring; his grandchildren, Lindsey P. Duncan, Allison Paschal, Garrett Paschal, Sawyer Herring and Wyatt Herring; and his great grandchild Alli Duncan.
