He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Broome and Mozell Beckworth Broome; his son Kenneth Broome; and his brothers, Hugh, Clyde Jr., Paul and Carl Broome.
He is survived by: his daughter Sherry Beatty (Tony) of Jefferson, GA.; his siblings, Johnny Broome (Rachel) of McCormick, Amelia Ivey of Washington, Mary Harris of Washington, Lucy Harris of Washington, Reba Howell of Washington and Lulu Howell (Frank) of Washington; his granddaughter Jennifer Balmert (Gary) of Washington, GA; his great grandchildren, Kenzie McDuffie (Blake) and Audrey Balmert; and his great great grandchildren, Audie McDuffie and McKenzie McDuffie.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Washington Presbyterian Church (206 E Robert Toombs Ave, Washington, GA 30673). A burial was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at the Cliffords Grove Baptist Church (3678 Lundburg Rd, Washington, GA 30673).
