She was predeceased by: her parents, William Thomas McAvoy and Florence Tucker McAvoy; and her brothers, Mitchell McAvoy and Marvin McAvoy. She is survived by: her husband Vernon L. "Buddy" Vandiver; her daughter Kathy Garrison of Social Circle, GA; her brother Billy McAvoy (Gloria) of Washington, GA; her grandchildren, Danielle Garrison and Jordan Garrison; and her great grandchildren, Koley Flanders, Keegan Flanders, Kylie Flanders and Mary Hyche.
