She was predeceased by: her parents, Sam Whitaker and Mamie Wilcher Whitaker; her husband Charles Giles, Jr.; her granddaughter Shelly Giles; and her siblings, Betty, Ann and Sam.
She is survived by: her sons, Charlie Giles (Lisa) of Deepstep and Mark Giles (Margretta) of Deepstep; her grandsons, Travis Giles (Melissa) and Cody Giles; her great grandchildren, Lily, Anna Brooke Giles and Dillon Giles; her siblings, Gloria Waller, Pattie Lindsey (Dean) and Glenn Whitaker (Sue); and her sister-in-law Marie Whitaker.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the St. Jude Childrens' Research Hospital.
