She was predeceased by: her father Louie Lamar Lindsey; and her brother Lamar Lindsey. She is survived by: her husband Charles M. Smith; her son Kurt M. Smith (Lorrie) of Remlap, AL; her grandchildren, Nicole Smith Dumas (Nathan) of Gardendale, AL, Owen Smith of Remlap, AL and Sean Smith of Remlap, AL; and her brothers-in-law, Morgan Smith (Sandra) of Hiawassee, Graham Smith (Glenda) of Snellville and Jon Smith of Elberton. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
