Martin Hawse Burgess Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martin Hawse Burgess of Washington, Georgia, who passed away on January 11, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, J. C. Burgess and Mary Burgess; his brother John Burgess; and his son-in-law William Marks Towles III. He is survived by: his wife Janet Leard Burgess; his daughters, Mandy Marable (Brent), Molly Towles and Maria Walker (Joel); his grandchildren, Jack Durham, John David Marable, Scout Regan, Robin Kathryn Walker and William Marks Towles IV; and his siblings, Betty Lane, Charlie Burgess (Dena), Donnie Burgess (Beverly) and Kathy Cheek. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
