It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margie Haggard Mayes of Washington, Georgia, who passed away on March 21, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Val Haggard and Malatha Haggard; and her brother Larry Haggard. She is survived by: her nephew Keith Haggard; her husband Harold Mayes; her children, Waylon Mayes (Cathy) of Lincolnton and Sherry Mayes of Augusta; her grandchildren, Macy and Coby Mayes; her great grandchildren, Jaxon and Anneliese Courtright; and her siblings, John Haggard of Fitzgerald, Jimmy Haggard (Glenda) of Vidalia, Annie Laura Henry of Swainsboro, Minnie Hattaway (Tim) of Vidalia and Linda Gail Phillips (Woodrow) of Soperton. She is also survived by loving in laws, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
