With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lamont Lannae of Washington, Georgia, who passed away on September 16, 2021 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Lamont, Sr. of Warden, IL and Frances Colley Johnson Lannae of Washington, GA; his former wife Cathy Lannae; and his brother-in-law James V. Bowman. He is survived by: his wife Alicia Lannae; his children, Beth Lannae Rainey (Russell) of Evans, GA, Amy Lannae Broadnax (John) of Athens, GA, Leroy Lamont and Trey; his stepdaughters, Robin Williams Shackleford (Ben) of Atlanta, GA and Elizabeth Arthur (Al) of Lincolnton; his sister Elizabeth "Libbie" Bowman of Washington, GA.; and his grandchildren, Kathryn Rainey, William Rainey, Ellis Broadnax, Mae Broadnax, Millie Lannae, Mary Sheppard Lannae, Isabel Shackleford, Ben Shackleford, John Shackleford, Hugh Arthur III and Ruby Cullars Arthur.
Due to COVID, the family will be holding a private interment service with a celebration of life being planned at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in his honor.
