He was predeceased by: his mother Annie Kate Powell Jackson; and his siblings, Bobby Jackson, Mary Vandiver and Lillie Crawford. He is survived by: his father Robert Oscar Jackson; his son Barron Jackson (Brenda Lee Jackson) of North Carolina; and his sisters, Florence McCorkle (G. C.) of Thomson, Josephine Crawford (Melvin) of Rayle and Faye Saggus of Lincolnton. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
