He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Ray and Anna Roth Ray Yearwood; and his daughter Susan Marie Ray. He is survived by: his son Robert Ray, Jr. (Laura) of Greensboro; his siblings, Alton Ray (Karen) of Washington, Tim Ray of Greensboro and Linda R. Davis of Dearing; his grandchildren, Dillion Ray (Ashley) of Greensboro and Brittany R. Underwood (Trey) of Greensboro; and his great grandchildren, Lane Underwood, Elana Underwood, Laila Ray and Trey Thurmond.
