With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elizabeth Edwards Thornton (Washington, Georgia), born in Elberton, Georgia, who passed away on April 1, 2022 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Edwards and Lizzie Edwards; and her spouse J. W. Thornton. She is survived by: her children, Brown (Charlie) of Martinez and Ellis Thornton (Pat) of Washington; her sister-in-law Margaret T. Myers of Washington; and her grandchildren, Jennifer Pefferly (Jim), Randall Brown, Chris Thornton (Jan), Greg Thornton and Kelli T. Tillman (Michael). She is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
