It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Scarborough of Washington, Georgia, born in Elberton, Georgia, who passed away on March 27, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Scarborough and Sallie Kate Lovinggood Scarborough; his wife Debby Ray Scarborough; and his siblings, Kathleen Peppers, Sidney Scarborough and Annie Bell Leard.
He is survived by: his son Chris; his daughter-in-law Denise Scarborough of Elberton, GA; his daughter Jan Scarborough of Elberton, GA; his sister Christine Mobley of Mableton, GA; and his grandchildren, Ayden Scarborough, Cody, Felicia Scarborough, Alex and Raechel Scarborough. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
