He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Ray Toburen and Helene Borscherding Toburen. He is survived by: his sons, David Leon, Jr. (Josey) and Charles Wickersham; his wife Laura; his son Charlie (Kathryn); his grandchildren, Nathan, Laura Kate Kranzlein (Harrison), Clara Rooks (Logan), Chase (Jamie) and Maggie; and his sister Leanne Dier.
