We are sad to announce that on October 18, 2023, at the age of 85, Bivins Lavernne Swords of Washington, Georgia, born in Elberton, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Bivins Carithers "Buck" Swords and Allie Sue Smith Swords; his wife Dee; his brother John; and his sister-in-law Toni Swords.

He is survived by: his children, Rina (Bob Thomas) of Elberton and Mark (Judi Swords) of Byron; his sister Frances Anne (Mack Schlock); his grandchildren, Kevin Eavenson, Chance Swords, Matthew, Kassidy Swords, BJ Thomas, Stuart, Beth Thomas, Allen and Stacy Thomas; and his great grandchild Will Eavenson. He is also survived by nine step-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
