He was predeceased by: his parents, Julia Sanders (Lester) and Grover Sanders; his former wife Patsy Sanders (Morgan); his siblings, Howard, James, Raymond Sanders and Francis Ethridge (Sanders); his stepbrother Ted Kinman; and his stepson Wendell Yearwood.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Sanders (Harris); his children, Cindy (Dean Shirley) and Roger (Dee Ann Sanders); his grandchildren, Nicholas, Ryan Shirley, Jon Taylor, Jonathan Sanders, Crystal and Samantha Sanders; and his sister Sarah Norton (Seaburn). He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
