He was predeceased by: his wife Doris Shaw; his parents, Walter Shaw and Eugenia Shaw; and his siblings, Richard Shaw and Kathleen Gruessing.

He is survived by: his sons, William Shaw (Lisa Guntert) and Frank Shaw (Cydney); and his sister Charlene Richards. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren.
