He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Cleave Newsome and Bertie Mae Newsome (Babb); and his siblings, Raymond Newsome and Katherine Bramton. He is survived by: his wife Susan Newsome (Wright) of Byron, GA; his children, Ashlee Newsome, Delena McCarley, Richard Dortch, Wayne Newsome, Jr., Hallie Conrey (Ricky), Jarred McCarley (Keylee), John Robert "Robbie" Hoffmann, Jr. (Keeley), Colsen Duane-James Conrey, Nolan James Hoffmann, Blakely Ann McCarley and River Jules McCarley; his sisters, Karen Newsome, Gloria Ledbetter (Frank) and Linda Marcola; his nephews, Scott Mobley (Kim), Shane Mobley (Amy) and Logan Mobley (Candice); and his niece Dana Fagundo.
