Velma C. Ownby Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Velma C. Ownby in Warner Robins, Georgia, born in Blue Ridge, Georgia, who passed away on June 20, 2020, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Cook and Cora Chambers Cook; her husband Herman Ownby; her brothers, Charles and Mayard Cook; her son-in-law James Miller, Jr.; her grandson Michael Miller; and her great great grandchild Addison.
She is survived by: her daughters, Oakland Baptist Church and Jean Ownby Miller; her granddaughter Sandra Ingram; her great grandchildren, Lauren Chavanne (Chris), Kayle McKay, Meagan Earl, Cora Miller and Nathan Ingram; and her great great grandchildren, Kaden Keadle, Matthew Chavanne, Taylynn Miller and Aiden Holm.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Velma Ownby to Oakland Baptist Church Building Fund at 1509 Russell Parkway, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.
