He was predeceased by: his parent Gladys Jones; his brother Javan Octavius Jones Sr.; his grandparents, Ella Mae Holmes and Willie C. Holmes; and also James Edward Haslem.

He is survived by: his parent Gladys Williams; his brother Shedrick Jones; his aunts, Susie Holmes of Warner Robins, Deloris Dishmond of Macon, Willie Mae Combs and Theresa Holmes of Warner Robins; and his uncle Lewis C. Lowder. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
