He was loved and cherished by many people including: his grandson Josiah; his grandmother Ruth Sawyer Cook; his uncle Charles S. Cook (Bubba); his great-grandparents, Arthur, Maybelle Gibby and Hazel McGhee English; his children, Aeriell Michelle Cook and Timothy Michael Cook (Janylah); his grandchildren, Grayson, Ivey, Carmelo and Paisley; his mother Deborah Cook; and his siblings, Sara Jean Cook Jones (Michael Jones), Bobby Gibby and Alan Gibby.
