He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Godfrey and Sybil Godfrey. He is survived by: his wife Rhonda Godfrey; and his son David Godfrey of Warner Robins. He is also survived by three brothers; a sister; and many nieces and nephews.

Due to COVID-19 the family will have a celebration of life at a later date to be determined.
