He was predeceased by: his parents, John Barnes and Gladys Wallace Barnes; his daughter Sheila Marie Barnes; and his brothers, Jack Barnes and Dewey Barnes.
He is survived by: his wife Francis Copeland Barnes; and his son Ronald Barnes, Jr. (Faith). He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
