Oveda H. Gardner Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Oveda H. Gardner (Warner Robins, Georgia), born in Lancaster, South Carolina, who passed away on May 24, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Oveda is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Oveda's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hector Hinson and Edell Hinson; and her husband Charles Morrison Gardner. She is survived by: her daughters, Debbie J. Blocker (Edenfield) of Beaufort, SC and Charline Logue (Jimmy Hagin) of Warner Robins, GA; her grandchildren, Christopher J. Edenfield (Allie) and Jessica Danielle Bard (Cory); and her great grandchildren, John Reid Edenfield, Amelia Ann Edenfield, Penelope Jo Bard and Delilah June Bard.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Oveda H. Gardner to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
