It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lessie Ezell Childs (Warner Robins, Georgia), born in Cross Hill, South Carolina, who passed away on July 1, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Irvin Preston Whiteford and Fannie Ruth Reagan; her husband Ernest R. Childs; and her daughters, Rebecca Suzanne Rippstein, Elaine Adrian and Abbigail Henderson.
She is survived by: her children, Faith W. Norris (Douglas) of Laurens, S. C., Merry Clark (Jim) of Enoree, S. C., Elizabeth Thomas of Charlotte, N. C and Claude Whiteford (Margaret) of Concord, N. C.. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; and extended family and friends.
