She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Mitchell and Nancy Mitchell; her former husband Emory Ellis Simpson; her husband Stanley Box; and her daughter Donna Simpson Wood.
She is survived by: her children, Dane Alan Simpson (Brenda) of Kathleen, Mark Anthony Simpson of Powder Springs and Lisa Grace McGuire (Eugene) of Fort Valley. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Friendship Baptist Church Building Fund at 1322 Feagin Mill Road, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
