He was predeceased by: his parents, James Leroy, Sr. and Martha Ellen Perkins Dunn; his daughter Rhonda Denise Dunn; and his sisters, Myrtle Dunn Howell and Jean Dunn Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Gayle Dunn of Warner Robins; his children, Pam Hooper (Barry) of Warner Robins, Paula Peavy (Greg) of Warner Robins and Patrice Dunn Hentze of Warner Robins; his grandchildren, Heath Hooper (Beth), Morgan Martin (Tyler), Colin Peavy, Raegan Newton (Timothy Merth) and Jonathan Newton; his great grandchildren, Hannah Hooper, Hudson Hooper, Rhett Martin, Riley Martin and James Merth; and his sisters, Faye Dopson (Jim) of Macon, Joan Smith, Kathy Howell of Cochran and Joyce Farrell (R. L.) of Gray. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Mathis Funeral Home (151 E Dykes St, Cochran, GA 31014).
