He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie James and Thelma Evans; and his wife Marjorie Evans. He is survived by: his children, Scott Evans (Jennifer) of Warner Robins and Shawn Evans (Shelly) of Warner Robins, Georgia; his grandchildren, Jared Evans, Ashtyn Evans, Kayla Evans, Dalton Evans, Caleb Cooper and Seth Cooper; and his sisters, Linda Keller of Louisiana and Sandra Kopp of Florida.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of David Evans to OpusCare Hospice at 115 Arkwright Landing, Macon, GA 31210 or St. Jude's Children's Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
