She was predeceased by: her parents, Nas Murry and Ida Ellis Marchant of Tifton; her former husband Wiley "Jack" Byrd; and her husband Richard Preston Smith. She is survived by: her children, Beth Byrd Coulter (Danny) of Sandersville and Robert "Bobby" Byrd (Maria) of Warner Robins; her grandson Richie Coulter (Jordan) of Sandersville; and her sister Merle Marchant Epps of Baldwin County, Milledgeville..
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McCullough Funeral Home (417 S Houston Lake Rd, Warner Robins, GA 31088). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Calendar McCullough Funeral Home (417 S Houston Lake Rd, Warner Robins, GA 31088).
The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of Helen Marchant Byrd Smith to Green Acres Baptist Church Building Fund.
