She was predeceased by: her parents, Beatrice Perdue Williams and Thomas Newton Williams; her husband Houson Cook Akins, Sr.; and her grandson Josh Akins. She is survived by: her son H. C. Akins; and her grandchildren, Keri Hodges (Chris) and Larry Akins. She is also survived by 2 great grandsons; 1 great great granddaughter; 4 siblings; and a host of extended friends and family.
