He was predeceased by: his mother Nellie Ellis Swink. He is survived by: his father Lonnie Ellis; his wife Julie S. Ellis; his son John William Ellis IV; his stepdaughter Chelsea Bloodworth; and his grandchildren, Elizabeth Bloodworth and Logan Bloodworth.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Duane Ellis to The Duane Ellis Memorial Fund, c/o McCullough Funeral Home at 417 South Houston Lake Road, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
