She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank McWhirter and Lara Taylor McWhirter; her grandsons, Brian Gordon, Brandon Gordon and Cole Gordon; and her siblings, Essie Herndon, Thelma McWhirter, Walter, Franklin, Paul, James, William and Henry McWhirter.
She is survived by: her children, Vicki Walker (Steve) of Warner Robins and Gene Gordon (Terri) of Daytona Beach, Florida; and her grandchildren, Taylor McGraw of Brooklyn and Bradley Gordon of Charlottesville, Virginia. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Monroe County Memorial Chapel (86 W Main St, Forsyth, GA 31029). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Christ, 511 High Place, Macon, GA 31201, or Macon Area Habitat for Humanity, 690 Holt Ave., Macon, GA 31204.
