It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Benjamin Layfield (Warner Robins, Georgia), born in Sylvester, Georgia, who passed away on August 14, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Clayton and Inez Dorminey Layfield; his sister Lana Cheryl Layfield Smith; his parents-in-law, Thomas Wesley Conner, Sr. and Eva Alice Mims Conner; and his brothers-in-law, Rhett Smith and Thomas Wesley Conner, Jr..

He is survived by: his wife Lynne Conner Layfield of Warner Robins; his children, Clay Layfield (Amy) of Eastman, Chad Layfield (Felicia) of Kathleen and Allison Lynne Layfield White (Sean) of Carthage; his granddaughter Joy Layfield of Chattanooga, Tennessee; and his children, Noel Layfield of Eastman, Savannah Layfield of Kathleen, Clayton Layfield of Eastman, Benjamin White of Carthage and Emma Lynne White of Carthage.
