He was predeceased by: his parents, Ada Britt (Loyd) and Arver Britt. He is survived by: his wife Judy; and his children, Angie Joiner, Shannon Britt (Tami) and Michael Britt (Drew). He is also survived by four grandchildren (1 deceased), 9 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
