He was predeceased by: his father Rudy Gibson; and his sister Kathy Bateman. He is survived by: his mother Agnes Gibson; his wife Claudia; his sons, Jason (Elvira) and Christopher (Kristi); and his siblings, Barry Gibson (Cathy), Terri Shackelford, Janet Barkley (Kenny) and Matt Gibson (Annmarie). He is also survived by five grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Alan D. Gibson to Sacred Heart Catholic Church for the greatest needs of the Parish at 300 S. Davis Dr., Bldg. 300, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
