She was predeceased by: her parents, Sam Johnson and Luella -Johnson of Washington; and her grandson Theodore Ward III. She is survived by: her husband Theodore Ward; her sons, Theodore Ward II and Lanier Ward; and her close friends, Henrietta Archie, Portia Thomas, Ann Bailey, Ann Hubbard, Theresa Locke, Charlotte Pennington, Alice Parker and Carrie Harvey.
