With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Samuel Simpson of Waleska, Georgia, born in Smyrna, Georgia, who passed away on June 1, 2020 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Emory Madison Spear Simpson and Carrie Lee Payne Simpson; and his siblings, Roger Simpson, Caroline Simpson, Patricia Freeman and Ann Gunter.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Page Simpson; his children, Emory Samuel Simpson (Julie) of Oxford, NC, Renee Singley (Tony) of Dallas, GA and Carrie Amanda Simpson of Orange Park, FL; his grandchildren, Lisa Peoples, Chance Leonard, Caleb Leonard and Emsley Leonard; and his great grandchildren, Aiden Richardson, Ava Richardson, Clayton Leonard and Carter Leonard.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Sam's memory to the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church 7245 Warwoman Rd. Clayton, GA 30525.
