He is survived by: his children, Kristi Garland (Steve "Fuzzy") and Edward Davis Ayers; his grandchildren, Callie Tweedy (Michael), Hannah Steele (Everson), Madeline Freeman (Joshua), Alex Garland, Becky Garland and Callie MissCally (Morgan); his great grandchild Davis Wheeler; and his sister Faye Ayers Payne. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
