He was predeceased by: his parents, Ferney Oliver "Sunny" Saunders, Sr. and Dorothy Holton Saunders; and his sisters, Diane S. Brown and Brenda Josey. He is survived by: his wife Martha L. Sams "Marty" Saunders; and his siblings, Wayne Saunders, Nancy Austin (Tom), Kathy Josey (Wayne) and Gwenn Pope. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews' cousins, and lifelong friends.
