With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michael Smith of Wadley, Georgia, born in Louisville, Georgia, who passed away on August 20, 2021 at the age of 48. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Michael Smith to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Terry Smith and Grace Williams Sheppard. He is survived by: his wife Tara Kelley Smith; his daughters, Jessica Smith (Jarrod) and Kelley Smith; his brother Tim Smith (Tasha); his grandchildren, Emma Pickard and Luke Pickard; his stepfather Joe Sheppard; his father-in-law Billy Kelley, Sr. (Stella); and his brother Billy Kelley, Jr. (Robyn). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Because of the family's respect and concern for public health and safety during this COVID-19 pandemic, the family requests that social distancing and other safety precautions be followed. The wearing of face masks is strongly encouraged during any gathering.
Because of the unexpected nature of Michaels death, the family respectfully asks that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made directly to Taylor Funeral Home, 401 West 8th Street Louisville, GA 30434 to help with expenses.
