She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence York and Mary Davis York; her husband James Cowart (Ben); and her siblings, Clarence Edward York, Danny York, Maritha York and Wynell Brantley.
She is survived by: her children, James "Rooster" (Beth Cowart), Allen Cowart (Bubba) of Sparta and Karen Cowart of Wadley; her grandchildren, Jessica, Josh Bryant of Jeffersonville, Tori, Josh Williams of Rentz, Dilion, Chasity Cowart of East Dublin, Joshua Palmer of East Dublin, Bennett Cowart of East Dublin, Clayton Jones, Jacob Layman and Cade Smith of Wadley; and her brother Toby (Marian York). She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Because of the family's concern for public health and safety during this time, the family requests that social distancing and other safety precautions be followed. The wearing of face masks is encouraged.
