She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Abney, Sr. and Conelia Rich Abney; her husband Sam Purvis, Jr.; her daughter Janet Slusher; and her brothers, Raymond Abney and Jimmie Abney.
She is survived by: her children, Paul Purvis (Debra) of Wadley and Debra Barber (Greg) of East Dublin; her siblings, Frank Abney (Louise) of Scotland and Marie Stapleton (Junior) of Swainsboro; and her grandchildren, Jonathan Barber, Carolyn "Candy" Carroll, Brandy Shell, Brittney Slusher, Jessica Cowart, Tori Williams, Dillion Cowart and Paige Purvis. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
