He was predeceased by: his parents, Elder Homer Lewis Benefield and Katherine Robinson Benefield of Buncombe; his wife Kathy Bentley Benefield; and his grandson Larry Dwight Benefield, Jr.. He is survived by: his son Mike; his daughter-in-law Debbie Benefield of Buchanan; his son Mark; his daughter-in-law Toni Benefield of Buchanan; his children, Melissa Robinson of Waco and Larry; his daughter-in-law Angie Benefield of Roanoke, AL; his daughter Kristy Holland of Waco; his sister Joyce Lambert; and his siblings-in-law, Tammy Bentley of Tallapoosa and Donald Bentley of Cedartown. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.
