He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Edward Gay and Rosa Mae Howell Gay; his wife Pamela Diane Leverette Gay; and his brothers, J. B. Gay and Edward Gay.
He is survived by: his son Stanley; his daughter-in-law Dawn Gay of Villa Rica; his daughter Virginia Carol Davis; his son-in-law Lenwood Davis of St. Pauls, NC; and his sister Virginia Gay Herring Stringfellow of Macon. He is also survived by six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Georgia National Cemetery (Veterans Cemetery Rd, Georgia 30114).
