He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Jackson (Jack) and Mary B. Carter; and his sister Patty Jones. He is survived by: his children, Allison Carter of Carrollton and Samuel Carter of Newnan; his grandchildren, Ethan Steiper, Jackson Carter, Presley Carter and Baileigh Meherg; his siblings, Teresa Cox of Palmetto and Tony Carter of Covington; and his uncle Bobby Joe (Evelyn Bailey). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
