She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Monroe Spake and Elsie Howell Spake; her husband Thomas "John" Verlon Ward; her son Thomas "Tommy" Rodney Ward; and her sisters, Hazel Roberts and Ann Walker.
She is survived by: her daughters, Terri Ward Parks of Temple and Susan; her son-in-law Mitchell Jiles of Villa Rica; her brother Monroe; her sister-in-law Opal Spake of Villa Rica; and her grandchildren, Brandon (Deanna Pritchett), Valerie (Aaron McCullough), Tyler (Jill Ward), Richard (Traci Jiles) and Katie Jiles. She is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
