He is survived by: his children, Kenny Pitts (Melinda), Amanda Steele (Michael) and Holly Capra (Joseph); his siblings, Mary Fugatt (Jerry), Judy Curtis of Temple, Gary Pitts of Ringgold and Billy Pitts (Hannah) of Chattanooga, TN; and his grandchildren, David Pitts (Marlee), Kelsy Pitts, Stella Capra, Kylee Steele and Emma Capra. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
